No sooner had the dust settled following the spirited Huguenot Lodge<\/strong> raid than the Travellers Cup journey rolled on to 17th February 2026<\/strong>, where the spotlight turned firmly onto St Ambrose Lodge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the centre of it all, of course, was the now much-coveted Tim Spriggs Inspectorate Raiding Cup Award<\/strong> \u2014 a trophy that has quickly become a symbol of energy, attendance, inter-lodge support, and good-natured competitive spirit across the Inspectorate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hampden Lodge Makes Its Move<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In what can only be described as a well-timed and impeccably executed operation, Hampden Lodge<\/strong> descended upon St Ambrose determined to make their presence known \u2014 and to stake their claim on the Tim Spriggs Inspectorate Raiding Cup Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The raid was conducted in exactly the right spirit: strong attendance, warm handshakes, broad smiles, and just enough theatrical bravado to keep tradition alive. The Temple was filled with laughter and applause as the travelling brethren made their mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Inspectorate Team were present in strength, supporting both St Ambrose and the raiding party from Hampden Lodge. It was a perfect demonstration of what the Tim Spriggs Cup was designed to encourage \u2014 lodges visiting lodges, building bridges, raising standards, and most importantly, enjoying the journey together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Temple to the Table<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Following the meeting, brethren gathered at the magnificent Freemasons’ Hall<\/strong>, before dining just opposite at The Pillars \u2014 a setting worthy of the occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festive board was nothing short of exceptional:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starter<\/strong>
Parma ham & melon with wild rocket leaves and balsamic glaze \u2014 fresh, refined, and perfectly balanced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Main Course<\/strong>
Slow-roasted Pork Porchetta with butter mashed potato and house gravy \u2014 rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dessert<\/strong>
White chocolate and raspberry panna cotta with raspberry fruit coulis (GF) \u2014 smooth, indulgent, and beautifully finished.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cheese & Port<\/strong>
Because no Inspectorate evening concludes without thoughtful reflection, storytelling, and the warmth of shared company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The atmosphere was electric. Stories of previous raids were exchanged, playful threats of \u201cnext time\u201d were issued, and the Tim Spriggs Inspectorate Raiding Cup Award sat proudly as the centrepiece of conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cup is fast becoming more than a travelling award \u2014 it is a living tradition. It represents commitment, enthusiasm, and the collective strength of the Inspectorate. Each raid strengthens bonds. Each visit increases unity. Each festive board deepens friendship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Huguenot to St Ambrose\u2026 from St Ambrose to Hampden\u2026 the Cup moves, but the spirit remains constant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And if February has shown us anything, it\u2019s this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tim Spriggs Inspectorate Raiding Cup Award is very much alive \u2014 and the next chapter is only just beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
