It was an unforgettable evening of ritual excellence, warm fraternity, and fiery festivity as Huguenot Lodge proudly raided the Metropolitan Inspectorate Travelling Cup \u2014 more fondly known as the Tim Spriggs Award \u2014 from the distinguished Hortus Lodge No. 2469.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The evening began with dignity and purpose as the brethren of Huguenot Lodge gathered to receive and warmly welcome W. Bro. Tim Spriggs, PGJD, Metropolitan Grand Inspector, whose presence added an air of gravitas and good humour to the proceedings. His kind words and encouragement reflected the true spirit of the Metropolitan family \u2014 unity, dedication, and a good laugh when deserved!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four eager candidates were passed to the Second Degree in what can only be described as a splendid display of ritual precision and teamwork. The work was executed with grace and confidence, drawing praise from all present \u2014 and perhaps even a knowing nod from W. Bro. Spriggs himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for \u2014 the ceremonial (and somewhat mischievous) transfer of the Metropolitan Inspectorate Travelling Cup. Amid smiles, handshakes, and a few friendly jokes, Huguenot Lodge claimed the trophy, marking their well-earned recognition for outstanding work and Masonic spirit. The brethren of Hortus Lodge No. 2469 were as gracious in defeat as they are steadfast in friendship \u2014 promising, no doubt, a future \u201creturn visit\u201d to reclaim their prize!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the formalities complete, the evening moved into full celebration mode at none other than Benihana \u2014 where the festive board reached sizzling new heights. The teppanyaki flames danced as knives flashed, prawns flew through the air, and laughter filled the room. Between sake toasts and shrimp tosses, the brethren toasted their new Fellow Crafts, reminisced over the evening\u2019s triumphs, and shared stories that could only be told among true friends and brothers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was an evening that perfectly embodied the essence of Freemasonry \u2014 excellent ritual, brotherly love, and hearty enjoyment in equal measure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the night drew to a close, with satisfied smiles and full stomachs, one thing was certain: Huguenot Lodge didn\u2019t just bring home the Tim Spriggs Award \u2014 they brought home memories to last a lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, here\u2019s to the four newly passed Brothers, to W. Bro. Tim Spriggs for his inspiring presence, to Hortus Lodge No. 2469 for their sportsmanship, and to the continuing legacy of the Metropolitan Inspectorate Travelling Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
